Located on High Street in the Village of Attica, Forest Hill is the largest cemetery within the Town of Attica. This 30 acre rural cemetery on a natural hill, is a non-profit, non sectarian cemetery, and was founded in 1868 when the Attica Cemetery Association was formed in 1868.
The Chapel at Forest Hill Cemetery was built in 1902 and serves as a memorial landmark and gathering space. It is believed that the GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) was instrumental in building the Chapel to honor its departing members. A survivor of the 1912 Titanic disaster and young Hunter Kelly, son of Jim and Jill Kelly and inspiration for the Hunter’s Hope Foundation are among those laid to rest at this cemetery.
Today at Forest Hill, we provide a variety of options to families at a time of loss, as well as to individuals who recognize the value of pre planning. We offer traditional and green burial options within this historic and active 30 acre picturesque cemetery.
